PT Bukit Darmo Property Tbk together with Hyatt Asia Pacific, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Surabaya, Thursday (14/9/2023).
In the MoU, both agreed to build and operate Hyatt Centric West Surabaya (HCWS), a five-star hotel in the West Surabaya area.
Iefenn Adrianne Sumampow, Vice President Director of BDP said that they took this business step to optimize the hotel building they own so that it can improve its performance in the future.
“HCWS, which is currently undergoing renovations, is targeted to operate in early 2026,” said Iefenn.
Furthermore, Iefenn said that the renovation process was carried out with superior specifications.
Will present various accommodation experiences for its guests.
In addition, the hotel not only presents a golf course view, but just by walking you can immediately play golf, including tea off.
“One of the advantages of HCWS is that in addition to the golf course view, guests can also play golf directly, including their colleagues. Of course it will be equipped with various 5-star hotel facilities, such as a bar, executive lounge, gym, swimming pool, fitness, ballroom and so on,” explained Iefenn.
The hotel with 37 floors and almost 250 rooms divided into several types such as deluxe, junior suite, presidential, continued Iefenn, will target middle to upper class customers.
With these advantages, the target set by BDP is included in the top 3 5-star hotels in Surabaya with occupancy above the City Occupancy average of above 51 percent.
The investment disbursed by BDP is around IDR 850 billion, which includes land, buildings and several renovations that are being carried out.
David Udell, Group President for Hyatt Asia Pacific, added that his party is very enthusiastic about the collaboration.
